“This letter comes to express my appreciation for the assistance that I received during the recent purchase of my home on Avery Park Drive in the Lenox of Smyrna Development.

The process started accidently as an outing with a friend one Sunday. I’sd mentioned that I was thinking about purchasing a home after my apartment lease expired in May 2011 but felt that it was probably easier for me to continue to rent now that my children were grown. She convinced me to ride with her so she could show me some of the different areas in the city. I am originally from Memphis, TN and moved to Nashville 5 years earlier but did not know the city well. The first place she took me was Lenox Village on Nolensville Road. I was immediately impressed with what I saw and inquired about 2 properties that same day. By the end of the day, I was convinced that I wanted to purchase a home and sure that I should continue to look at Regent properties. My only hesitation was I didn’st want to purchase a large home or maintain a lawn. We continued to look at different places. I liked them all but none of them fit my vision. When I was just about to talk myself out of purchasing, I met Derenda Sircy.

My friend and I just happen to be sitting in the car getting ready to leave when Derenda drove up with a young couple. She was very pleasant and asked if she could help us. I told her I was just looking around and she invited us to come in to look at the property with the couple. While inside the home she spent time with me and answered all of my questions while still providing equal attention to the other guests. I liked her right away. After the couple left Derenda asked me to tell her what I was looking for in a home. Based on very few details she said she had the perfect house for me. We set the appointment to see the house and when I drove up, I knew it was my home. Because this was a big step for me, I wanted all of the important people in my life to see it too. Since everyone lived out of town, I requested 4 -5 additional appointments to see the property before making a final decision. It was during these multiple visits that I also met Tom Plahuta and found him to be very professional and attentive as well.

Derenda contacted me several times during my decision making/deliberation process but I never felt pressured to make a decision. She was very supportive and appeared genuinely interested in meeting my needs. Her warmth and concerned helped me develop trust in what she told me and confidence that what she said was accurate. When I decided to move forward with the purchase, I expressed reservation because of one modification that I wanted. She not only inquired about the possibility of making the modification, but continued to pursue alternatives after she was told it would not be possible. While I still intended to buy the house and was “satisfied” that the modification could not be done, Derenda was not satisfied to let me “settle”. She continued to look for an alternative and to my great surprise, found one! That was all I needed to reach perfect satisfaction with my new home.

I have purchased 4 homes prior to this one and I can truly say that this experience far exceeds any of the others. I attribute this totally to the excellent work and special attention that I received from Derenda Sircy and Tom Plahuta. I could not let this opportunity to personally thank them pass by. Regent Homes is very fortunate to have them as part of your team.”
