July 4th is all about the boom — fireworks lighting up the night sky in sync with an American classic song. Music City is one of the best destinations in the Southern US to watch a magical 4th of July fireworks show in person. 

Each year, Nashville draws a crowd of thousands of people who come to celebrate America’s Independence Day, many traveling from out of town just to be part of the fun. If you can’t join in the fun in person, some of these shows are televised, allowing you to watch from anywhere.

Fireworks Scheduled for Friday, July 4th in Nashville

Let Freedom Sing! • Location: Downtown Nashville • Admission: Free • Event Highlights:

  • Live Music: The main concert stage, known as the Jack Daniel’s Broadway Stage, will be located at First and Broadway. The event features performances by top artists, culminating in a live performance by the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony at Ascend Amphitheater.
  • Fireworks Display: One of the largest in the country, the fireworks show is synchronized to the live performance by the Nashville Symphony. The display is scheduled to begin around 9:20 PM.
  • Family Activities: Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, food vendors, and more.

Red, White & Q at Chief’s on Broadway • Time: 6:00 PM • Location: Chief’s on Broadway • Admission: Ticketed event • Details: Experience a bird’s-eye view of Nashville’s fireworks from the rooftop of Chief’s on Broadway. The event includes VIP lounge access, a BBQ buffet from Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ, and live music.

Skydeck on Broadway Celebration • Time: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM • Location: Skydeck on Broadway, 5055 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203 • Admission: Ticketed event (21+ only) • Details: Enjoy front-row seats to the fireworks with panoramic views of Nashville’s skyline. The event features an open bar, live music, and DJ sets throughout the evening.

Televised Fireworks Shows. You can watch Nashville’s 4th of July fireworks show, “Let Freedom Ring,” on Visit Music City. The show, including performances and fireworks, also airs on CMT as a 90-minute special, and CNN also has a crew reporting live from Nashville. You can watch the Nashville fireworks on these TV channels:
